MEET THE APRICITY TEAM
Gabe founded Apricity in 2015 after working with a highly-skilled team of engineers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lincoln Laboratory. As CEO, he builds great customer relationships by offering agile solutions to challenging projects. Under his leadership, Apricity has had great success with customers as diverse as the US Army, National Renewable Energy Library, Portland General Electric, consumer electronics companies and several startups.
Jacob spent 14 years engineering and managing nanotechnology projects for a wide variety of customers in the space-science, fusion-science and renewable energy industries, ranging from startups to large corporations and government entities. As COO of Apricity, he is focused on continuous improvement of the work environment and corporate structure, so our agile team can provide the quality work and exceptional service that our customers value.
Caitlin has a background in business administration, with a focus on international business. She is experienced in business operations, management and events across several industries. Prior to joining the Apricity team, she handled logistics and purchasing for the US and UK offices of an international steel trading company, and most recently, she was responsible for community management and scaling of a local start-up.
Gavin spent six years at MIT Lincoln Laboratory working on free-space laser communication systems before joining the Apricity. Today, he combines his passion for learning with his desire to help clients solve problems in the fast-paced world of consulting. His recent projects include an audiophile-grade portable Bluetooth amplifier, a custom adapter board for a popular computer vision platform, and a smart electrical load controller for on-site power generation in Puerto Rico.
Keith is a Civil Engineer experienced in building condition assessments, construction project management, investigation and rehabilitation of building envelopes and building power systems. He has spent time providing consulting services for new and existing building enclosures, including health facility rehabilitation, water treatment plant optimization and energy efficiency optimization. His recent efforts include an 18-month investigation and assessment of a replacement power system for a client in Liberia.
Chris is a Firmware Engineer with experience in instrumentation for high-energy particle physics, battery management systems, motor control, and robotics for medical applications. By combining a strong electronics background with software skills, he can design and debug effectively across engineering domains, allowing for fast and efficient firmware development. Recently, he developed and designed the firmware for an FDA-regulated 3-DOF robotic arm for stroke patient upper body rehabilitation.
Evan is a multi-faceted engineer with experience in several disciplines including electrical, energy systems, mechanical, and manufacturing. He specializes in IoT device development, test equipment development, and application development. His passion for learning and problem solving have been a great asset to the Apricity team and clients alike. Recently, Evan has been working on mobile applications for lighting systems and demand response programs.
Caleb is experienced in electrical engineering and systems integration and has a background in medical device technology. Before joining the Apricity team, he completed a year-long aerospace project developing a NASA rocket payload. He is skilled in developing all aspects of a device, from electronics to enclosures, and is currently working on wearable electronics and high-quality audio products.
Luke is a Computer Engineer who focuses on the firmware programming aspects of Apricity. He is responsible for designing, writing, and testing the software applications that are uploaded into products enabling them to perform at the clients desired functionality. This work entails a combination of low-level programming and configuring the interfaces between the hardware and software.
Ryan has gained experience with Electronics International and other technology companies where he successfully completed advanced and challenging projects before joining the Apricity team. He enjoys working with electronics and software design, including the aspects of production, maintenance, and calibration. His project history includes a CO2 and humidity sensor, a field-deployed equipment tracking and provisioning system, and a low cost, high precision differential pressure sensor.
